Jodeci (sometimes stylized as JoDeCi) is an American band, whose repertoire includes R&B, soul music, and new jack swing. The group consists of two pairs of brothers from Hampton, Virginia and Charlotte, North Carolina: Cedric & Joel Hailey and Donald & Dalvin DeGrate, all respectively known by their stage names: K-Ci & Jojo, DeVante Swing and Mr. Dalvin. The groups name is a combination of the names of all of its members: Jo-Jo, DeGrate (including both Dalvin and DeVante) and K-Ci.

Jodeci released their commercial debut album “Forever My Lady” in 1991, which pawned five singles including the groups first three #1 R&B singles: the title track, « Stay » and « Come and Talk to Me. » “Forever My Lady” peaked at eighteen on the U.S. Billboard 200 and reached number one on the R&B Albums chart where it remained for three weeks.

In 1993, the group released its second studio album, “Diary of a Mad Band,” which was Jodeci’s second album to reach number-one on the R&B album chart where it stayed for two weeks. It spawned the #1 R&B hit « Cry for You »; « Feenin » and « What About Us » were Top 20 R&B hits.
In 1995, Jodeci’s third album “The Show, the After Party, the Hotel” was released, reaching the second spot on the Billboard 200 making it the group’s highest peaking release and topping the U.S. R&B Albums chart. By September 1995, it was certified platinum in sales by the RIAA, after sales exceeding one million copies in the United States. The album contained the Top 40 hits « Freek’n You », “Love U 4 Life » and “Get on Up.”
