CAfro B, from his real name Ross-Emmanuel Bayeto, born on February 25, 1993 in London, and more precisely in the district of Greenwich, in the United Kingdom, is a British singer-songwriter.

Afro B is in fact a young Ivorian-British artist who is very popular in the English-speaking world and especially in London where he still lives.

It was in his small London neighborhood that Afro B was introduced to music, by playing the piano in his local church. He later discovered a passion for turntables and mixing, he started as a DJ before moving on to recording and as one of the first promoters of UK Afrobeats, Afro B was able to witness the evolution of this scene from the ground up.

He is best known for his hit song Drogba (Joanna), which has over 140 million views on Youtube and peaked at #23 on the US Billboard R&B / Hip-Hop Airplay chart, which even led to the creation of the Drogba Challenge, which has gone very viral on social media.

Although he was born and lives in Britain, Afro B has parents of Ivorian origin. French-speaking descendants, which is a rare fact for a young person from the African diaspora in England following the example of Yxng Bane, an artist originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo with whom he has also collaborated in « Juice & Power » in 2017, a track from his 1st mixtape « Afrowave » . « Afrowave » is also a term he invented to define his musical style, it is a fusion of hip-hop, dancehall and afrobeat melodies.

Afro B, de son vrai nom Ross-Emmanuel Bayeto, né le 25 février 1993 à Londres, et plus précisément dans le quartier de Greenwich, au Royaume-Uni, est un auteur-compositeur-interprète britannique.

Afro B est en effet un jeune artiste ivoiro-britannique très populaire dans le milieu anglophone et surtout à Londres où il vit toujours.

C’est dans son petit quartier londonien qu’Afro B s’initie à la musique, en jouant du piano dans son église locale. Il s’est par la suite découvert une passion pour les platines et le mixage, il a débuté en tant que DJ avant de passer à l’enregistrement et en tant que l’un des premiers promoteurs de l’afrobeats britannique, Afro B a pu être témoin de l’évolution de cette scène depuis le sol.

Il est principalement connu pour sa chanson à succès Drogba (Joanna), qui cumule plus de 150 millions de vues sur Youtube et a culminé à la 23^eplace du classement américain Billboard R&B / hip-hop Airplay, ce qui a même conduit à la création du Drogba Challenge, devenu très viral sur les réseaux sociaux.

Bien que né et vivant en Grande-Bretagne, Afro B a des parents d’origine ivoirienne. Des descendants francophones, ce qui est un fait rare pour un jeune issu de la diaspora africaine en Angleterre à l’instar de Yxng Bane, artiste originaire de la République Démocratique du Congo avec lequel il a d’ailleurs collaboré dans « Juice & Power » en 2017, morceau tiré de sa 1ère mixtape “Afrowave” . “Afrowave” est également un terme qu’il a inventé pour définir son courant musical, c’est une fusion de mélodies hip-hop, dancehall et afrobeat.
