Luis Alfonso Rodríguez López-Cepero, known on stage as Luis Fonsi, is a Puerto Rican latino pop singer, born on April 15, 1978.

Luis Fonsi became a pop legend thanks to his planetary hit « Despacito » released in 2017, featuring Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber. With a record of 16 weeks in pole position on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in a row and nearly 18 billion views on YouTube in 2021, « Despacito » marks the peak of his career, but is far from being his only success.

His career began in 1998, when he released his first album Comenzaré and earned his first gold certification. His next two albums Eterno and Amor secreto, released in 2000 and 2002, will bring him two more gold certifications.

Luis Fonsi is still active today. In 2021, he released five new singles featuring, among others, Sean Paul and Myke Towers.
